From 3–7 June 2026, Barcelona welcomed thousands of music fans for Primavera Sound 2026, one of Europe’s most internationally recognised music festivals. The event took over the seaside Parc del Fòrum, combining huge outdoor performances with concerts across the city.
Five Days of Music in Barcelona
Primavera Sound is known for bringing very different genres and audiences together. Rock, pop, indie, hip-hop and electronic music all share the programme, making the festival one of the most diverse major events of the European summer.
The 2026 festival presented more than 300 concerts and sessions across Parc del Fòrum and venues throughout Barcelona.
A Huge International Lineup
The 2026 edition featured an exceptional collection of artists, including The Cure, Doja Cat, Gorillaz, The xx, Massive Attack, Skrillex, Addison Rae, Little Simz, Big Thief, Mac DeMarco, PinkPantheress and Peggy Gou.
The main festival days ran from 4–6 June, while additional opening and closing events extended the experience across five days.
Music by the Mediterranean
One of the things that makes Primavera Sound distinctive is its location. Parc del Fòrum sits directly beside the Mediterranean, giving festivalgoers the experience of watching major international artists perform against Barcelona’s coastal backdrop.
The 2026 event was designed for crowds of up to 73,000 people per day during its three main festival days.
From The Cure to Doja Cat
Primavera’s strength is its variety. Fans could move from the legendary alternative rock of The Cure to Doja Cat, then experience artists such as Gorillaz, The xx, Massive Attack and Skrillex within the same festival.
That mix of established icons and newer artists has helped make Primavera Sound an important destination on Europe’s festival calendar.
Barcelona Lives Through Music
For several days, Primavera Sound extends beyond the festival grounds and becomes part of Barcelona itself, with additional performances taking place at venues around the city.
