Reading Festival 2026: One of the UK’s Biggest Music Weekends

From 27–30 August 2026, Reading Festival returned to Richfield Avenue in Reading, England, bringing around 100,000 music fans together for one of the final major festival weekends of the European summer.

A Huge 2026 Lineup

The 2026 edition featured an impressive collection of British, Irish and international artists, led by Charli XCX, Dave, RAYE, Florence + The Machine, Fontaines D.C. and Chase & Status.

The programme also included Skepta, Loyle Carner, Role Model, Kneecap, Declan McKenna, Jade, Josh Baker, Kettama and Geese, bringing together pop, rock, rap, indie and electronic music.

A New Festival Experience

Reading Festival underwent one of its biggest transformations in 2026, introducing six new and redesigned stages: The Grid, The Gallery, The Warehouse, The Canopy, The Ballroom and The Yard.

The new layout expanded the festival beyond the traditional main-stage experience, with dedicated spaces for live bands, emerging performers and electronic music.

Four Days of Live Music

Friday featured Charli XCX and Fontaines D.C., while Saturday brought Dave and RAYE to the main stage. The weekend concluded with performances from Florence + The Machine and Chase & Status on Sunday.

With thousands of fans camping around the festival site and performances continuing across multiple stages, Reading once again became a temporary city built around live music.

The Sound of a European Summer

Reading Festival has been part of British music culture for decades, but its 2026 edition showed how the event continues to evolve with a new generation of artists and audiences.

From enormous headline shows to late-night electronic performances, it provided a fitting finale to another packed European festival season.
