Rock am Ring 2026: Germany’s Legendary Rock Festival Returns

From 5–7 June 2026, the legendary Nürburgring in Germany became the centre of European rock music as Rock am Ring returned for its 41st edition. Around 90,000 fans gathered at the famous racetrack, and the festival sold out faster than ever before.

Three Days of Rock at the Nürburgring

Rock am Ring has been one of Germany’s defining music festivals since the 1980s. Its combination of a historic motorsport venue, enormous outdoor stages and tens of thousands of fans creates one of Europe’s most distinctive festival experiences.

The 2026 edition brought another huge international lineup to Germany.

A Massive 2026 Lineup

The festival featured Linkin Park, Iron Maiden, Volbeat, Limp Bizkit, Bad Omens, Sabaton, Papa Roach, Electric Callboy and The Offspring, alongside dozens of other international artists.

One of the biggest moments came with Linkin Park’s return to Rock am Ring after 12 years. Their headline performance marked 25 years since the band’s first appearance at the festival in 2001.

90,000 Music Fans in One Place

With approximately 90,000 visitors, Rock am Ring once again demonstrated the extraordinary scale of Europe’s live-music scene. Thousands of fans travelled to the Nürburgring for a weekend combining concerts, camping and festival culture.

From massive headline performances to emerging artists across multiple stages, the festival offered three days dedicated almost entirely to live rock and alternative music.

Europe Lives Through Music

Rock am Ring is more than another stop on the European festival calendar. After more than four decades, it remains a meeting place for generations of rock fans and some of the world’s biggest bands.
