Tokio Hotel are a German band formed by Bill Kaulitz, Tom Kaulitz, Georg Listing and Gustav Schäfer. The group achieved a remarkable breakthrough in 2005 with Durch den Monsun and their debut album Schrei, quickly growing from a German teenage phenomenon into an internationally recognized band.

Rather than remaining tied to their original pop-rock sound, Tokio Hotel have repeatedly reinvented their music and visual identity. Later releases introduced electronic, synth-pop and alternative influences, with albums including Humanoid, Kings of Suburbia, Dream Machine and 2001. Their official biography reports more than 10 million records sold worldwide and numerous international awards.
