Amsterdam is one of Europe’s most exciting destinations for live events, combining world-famous festivals with the unique atmosphere of its canals, historic streets and creative neighbourhoods.

The year comes alive with King’s Day, when Amsterdam turns orange and celebrations spread across the streets and canals. Summer brings Amsterdam Open Air, the internationally renowned Holland Festival, Dekmantel and the beautiful Grachtenfestival, where concerts are staged at distinctive locations throughout the city.

In autumn, Amsterdam becomes the centre of the electronic-music world with Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), bringing thousands of artists and events to hundreds of venues across the city. As winter arrives, the Amsterdam Light Festival transforms the canals with illuminated artworks.

From huge electronic-music gatherings to intimate canal-side performances, Amsterdam offers memorable live experiences in every season.
