One of the biggest highlights is Tomorrowland, held just outside Brussels in Boom. It is among the world’s most famous electronic music festivals, attracting international DJs and visitors from across the globe for two enormous festival weekends each summer.

Within Brussels itself, Brussels Summer Festival brings live music into the historic centre, while Couleur Café celebrates an eclectic mix of hip-hop, soul, reggae, electronic music and sounds from around the world. The city also hosts major international performers throughout the year at venues such as ING Arena, Forest National and Ancienne Belgique.

Brussels has a particularly strong tradition of turning the city itself into a stage. During the Brussels Jazz Weekend, musicians perform across squares, bars and outdoor stages. Bright Festival transforms central neighbourhoods with illuminated installations, projections and artistic light experiences after dark.

Another extraordinary Brussels tradition is the Flower Carpet, when the magnificent Grand-Place is periodically covered by an enormous decorative carpet made from flowers. The historic architecture surrounding the square makes it one of the city’s most recognizable event settings.

The winter season brings another transformation. Winter Wonders fills central Brussels with Christmas markets, lights, entertainment, performances and attractions, drawing visitors through the Grand-Place and surrounding historic streets.
